About
UNTIL THE MOON COMES OVER THE MOUNTAIN is a two-part exhibition considering material and conceptual approaches to engaging with landscape, shown across spaces in Manhattan and Long Island's East End. It is a curatorial partnership between The FLAG Art Foundation and the Parrish Art Museum, curated by Scout Hutchinson and Jonathan Rider with Caroline Cassidy. The title is drawn from a 1994 text-based work by conceptual artist Lawrence Weiner, printed in vinyl and presented on the Parrish façade, suggesting dramatic natural forms simply through language. The presentation features work by Dan Colen, N. Dash, Andy Goldsworthy, Sonya Kelliher-Combs, Wolfgang Laib, Richard Long, Delcy Morelos, Jonathan Sánchez Noa, Martin Puryear, Eric-Paul Riege, Christine Howard Sandoval, Michelle Stuart, Martha Tuttle, Meg Webster, and Lawrence Weiner.
