Meditations on Earth
Elmer Holmes Bobst Library, Washington Square South 70, 10012 New York, Manhattan
About
Meditations on Earth is an in-person session of guided meditations that weave mindfulness with reflections on our environment, open to first-timers and longtime practitioners alike. It is led by Bart van Melik as part of an ongoing community meditation series hosted by the Office of Sustainability and NYU Libraries on Wednesdays throughout the academic year. Themes include the connectedness of all things, how we live in relationship with ourselves, others and the world around us, and the nature of change, from the expansion of the universe and the climate to the nature of thought itself. Cushions, benches, chairs, and backjacks are available, registration is not required but encouraged.
