MOCACREATE: Writing From the Heart with Teaching Artist Yu Rong

MOCACREATE: Writing From the Heart with Teaching Artist Yu Rong is a casual drop-in workshop on Chinese characters and calligraphy at the Museum of Chinese in America. Teaching artist Yu Rong, a New York–based multidisciplinary artist and educator who bridges Eastern and Western artistic traditions, guides participants. With over 4,000 years of history, Chinese characters have a lot to share, and Ed Young's book Voices of the Heart, on display in the special exhibit, explores a few. Families with children ages 6-14 can practice their own heart-writing and maybe learn a new favorite word.
