About
Next Dance is a new 50-minute dance performance work that investigates 'next-ness': proceeding from the materials at hand toward new potentialities, and performing possibility as a negotiation with constraints. It also explores 'dance-ness' and 'performance-ness,' rooted in a process that draws source material verbatim from recorded improvisations by each performer. The choreography is by Neil Greenberg, who performs alongside Jennifer Lafferty and Owen Prum, with music by Zeena Parkins and James Lo, lighting by Michael Stiller, and costumes by Walter Dundervill.
