Handcrafted in Flame: glass beadmaking workshops and demos.

A day of hands-on experiences and live demonstrations celebrating the artistry behind handmade jewelry, tracing how adornment is created from molten glass to finished piece. UrbanGlass is partnering with NYC Jewelry Week to present it, with 45-minute beadmaking sessions in the flame shop and jewelry construction workshops, plus ongoing live demos turning raw materials into wearable objects. A pop-up market showcases work by artists from The Bead Project, UrbanGlass's program offering women, femmes, and gender non-conforming individuals training in glass beadmaking, design, and small business skills. These artists lead the workshops, demonstrate their process, and sell their work, connecting visitors directly with the makers.
