Pinocchio and Gepetto's Big Apple Adventure
Free
About
A free outdoor puppet show for all ages at McCarren Park. The PuppetMobile from City Parks Foundation's SummerStage presents a fresh take on the classic fairytale Pinocchio, written by Julia Darden and directed by Bruce Cannon, with set design by Zlata Godunova and costume design by Charlie DelRisco. In this telling, Geppetto is a New York City kid with a talent for invention who builds a robot friend in the form of Pinocchio, and the pair tour classic locales and get into hijinks along the way. The production features hand-made marionettes by puppet builder Kevin White and original songs written and orchestrated by Daryl Kojak.
