Point of View—Creating a World Through Their Eyes

A one-day creative writing master class at a New York arts center, built around point of view as a writer's tool. Led by writer Yvonne Cassidy, it explores how a narrator's experiences, personality, and emotional lens shape what appears on the page, and how point of view influences tone, mood, and pacing. The six-hour session includes an introduction to different points of view, short examples, writing prompts, time to develop your own work, and supportive group feedback. It is open to all levels, from beginner to advanced, whether you are working on a memoir, novel, short story, or just starting out.
