Printing from the Garden: An Introduction to Bundle-Dyeing is a hands-on class in bundle dyeing, part science, part art, and part surprise, connecting participants with the plants around them. Taught by instructor Alison Kelly at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, it has each student work on a ready-to-dye silk bandana, creating a one-of-a-kind print from fresh and dried flowers, leaves, bark, and other plant materials. Participants leave with a unique silk bandana infused with the colors of the season. Preregistration is required, and the price includes a $40 materials fee.
