Provisional City: Opening Reception

Provisional City: Opening Reception

Hunter College, Park Avenue 695, 10065 New York, Manhattan

About

An opening reception for Provisional City, an exhibition of painting, sculpture, installation, and video by eight Hunter MFA alumni. The Hunter College Art Galleries present the show, curated by Nina Piper, a graduate of the Hunter MA Art History program. It explores the fluidity of the contemporary city, offering a glimpse of a city in flux through ephemeral, textural objects that hint at the city's past lives. The exhibition runs alongside Know-How for a New Era, a show of medieval objects describing the rise of the city in pre-Renaissance Europe.
