Shuso Hossen Sesshin is an intensive Zen retreat marked by silence and deep introspection, held at the Fire Lotus Temple. It is led by Geoffrey Shugen Arnold, Roshi together with Jody Hojin Kimmel, Sensei, Ron Hogen Green, Sensei and Danica Shoan Ankele, Sensei. Days begin before dawn with a schedule of 7 to 10 hours of zazen, chanting services, formal silent meals, silent work practice and talks by the teachers and senior students, along with private interviews offering personal guidance.
