Sidewalk Study on Mindy Fullilove's root shock.

A guided group discussion held outdoors, called a Sidewalk Study, meeting in Hudson Yards. It is run by the Strother School of Radical Attention with Samvit & Cherilyn. The session centers on Mindy Fullilove's book 'Root Shock: How Tearing Up City Neighborhoods Hurts America, and What We Can Do About It' and her idea of 'root shock,' the traumatic stress reaction to the destruction of one's emotional ecosystem. It asks how people can find strength when displacement, urban renewal, climate change and migration tear away the infrastructures that stabilize them.
