About
A screening of 'THE CAT IN THE HAT OPEN CAPTION (ON SCREEN SUBTITLES)', presented with open captions shown on screen. The film is directed by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja and stars Bill Hader, Xochitl Gomez and Tiago Martinez. Known for taking things too far, The Cat in the Hat has one chance to prove himself and cheer up two siblings (and their curmudgeonly goldfish) after a move, without making a mess. With his imagination, heart, some childhood dreams and a Thing or 3, the Cat aims to pull off the impossible.

Critics
The only judging text praises the film's emotional stakes, giving the Cat's chaos a real purpose, plus Seussian imagination and family-safe animation. It cautions that success depends on balancing slapstick energy with genuine empathy.
