The Puerto Rican Radical Tradition - CENTRO Spring and Summer 2026 Journals
Hunter College, Park Avenue 695, 10065 New York, Manhattan
About
An event marking CENTRO's latest journals (Spring & Summer 2027), presented by the Center for Puerto Rican Studies (Centro) at Hunter College. The journals explore a complex political space defined by movements resisting racial/colonial capitalism through the unique lens of Puerto Rican experiences. They trace a legacy of radical resistance from the Nationalist Party to the UPR Student Movements and the Young Lords, rooted in abolitionism, socialism, and revolutionary nationalism. The event is made possible thanks to the Mellon Foundation Rooted + Relational initiative and is open to everyone.
