About

The Waco Tapes is a stage play, a two-hander thriller that brings the 1993 Waco siege to life. It was directed by Luke Wisniewski, written by Julian Cividanes, and designed by Josh Healing, with Brason Jones and Julian Cividanes starring. Built entirely from hundreds of hours of FBI negotiation transcripts, it stages the 51-day standoff as phone negotiations between a resolute hostage negotiator, Agent Doe, and the enigmatic Branch Davidians leader David Koresh. As the two forge a dangerous bond, the confrontation escalates to a tragic ending that asks how it happened and what could have stopped it.
