Village Ghost Tours is a one-hour walking ghost tour through the historic village, visiting historic structures after dark by lantern light. It is led by historical interpreters in costume who explore folklore and mysteries from the past, discussing the lives and deaths of Staten Islanders, including accused people who stood trial at the 3rd County Courthouse. The guides also share reflections on their own unexplained encounters in town, in a storytelling program rather than paranormal ghost hunting. It is recommended for ages 8 and up, with children accompanied by an adult, and runs rain or shine.
