About
Ryan F. Casey performs their autobiographical solo play 'What Happens to Boys in Chelsea', an autobiographical choreopoem following a gay boy who fell from a fifth floor window, at Judson Memorial Church. The fundraising event supports ACT UP's (AIDS Coalition To Unleash Power) 40th Anniversary, with all profits donated to ACT UP New York. Set in New York in 2006, it follows Foster Lawrence, who ends up in a stranger's home and clinging to his life on the city asphalt, as ten years later he sets out to find what happened that night. This work of political theater, which calls to dismantle the NYPD's Freedom of Information Law Unit, runs 50 minutes and is followed by a question and answer session.
