About
«Apollo 10½: A Space Age Adventure» is an animated film about a boy growing up in a Houston suburb in the 1960s, where the space race still stands for the American dream. Because the first manned rocket is too small for adults but exactly Stanley's size, he is secretly recruited. Most of the film, however, revolves around the unsupervised joys of an analog childhood, from phone pranks to street kickball. It was written and directed by Richard Linklater, with Milo Coy and Jack Black among the voices.

Critics
7.5Very good
Critics praise the film's warm nostalgia, vivid sense of time and place, playful animation and humane characters. They fault its lack of narrative conflict and dramatic tension, and find the rotoscoped style initially hard to warm to.
