About
A book launch for the first book about Sister Augustina Flüeler, a major Swiss textile artist of the 20th century. The editors Gabriela Christen and Carmen Stirnimann, together with graphic designer Megi Zumstein and textile design specialist Tina Moor, offer insights into her life and work. As a nun, Flüeler revolutionised liturgical vestments, built up a textile manufactory inside the Capuchin convent St. Klara in Stans, and exported the paraments made there around the world. The event by publisher Scheidegger & Spiess and Never Stop Reading is free, followed by a book sale and an apéro.
