Hugo Suter. Fliessen und Spriessen. Das druckgrafische Schaffen
ETH Zürich, Sonneggstrasse 5, 8006 Zürich, Rieden
About
The exhibition 'Hugo Suter. Fliessen und Spriessen. Das druckgrafische Schaffen' presents the printed work of the Swiss artist Hugo Suter (1943–2013) at the Graphische Sammlung ETH Zürich. Behind the project stands the Graphische Sammlung ETH Zürich together with the Hugo und Mariann Suter Stiftung, curated by Alexandra Barcal and Tim Oechslin. Suter's work is marked by a playful yet contemplative engagement with motifs from his immediate surroundings, and many of his prints are hyalographies, that is, prints made from glass. Alongside printed sheets, photographs, hand drawings and three-dimensional objects are on view, making the 'Fliessen und Spriessen' of his ideas tangible.
