«Aus sich heraustreten – Über Rausch und Ekstase» is a philosophical and cultural-studies panel discussion. On the panel are historian Helena Barop, psychiatrist and philosopher Daniel Strassberg and philosopher Susanne Schmetkamp, with Michael Herzig moderating. The discussion asks what ecstasy is, how it relates to intoxication, and why sober ecstasy is often considered less blameworthy than drug-induced ecstasy. The panel takes place as part of the festival «Substanzen jetzt».
