Der fliegende Teppich: Hawaii - Robert Louis Stevenson: Der Flaschenteufel

«Der fliegende Teppich: Hawaii» is a literary-musical reading of Robert Louis Stevenson's novella «Der Flaschenteufel» at Theater Rigiblick. Actress Vera Bommer leads into the mysterious island world of Hawaii, where Stevenson's tale of a pact with the devil and a great love is set; the author wrote the novella in 1891 in the Samoan language and was called «Tusitala» (the storyteller) by the locals. A trio with Charlie Fischer (vocals and ukulele), Pascal Biedermann (guitar, lap-steel Hawaiian guitar) and Sandra Merk (bass) plays Hawaiian music, traditional and modern; concept by Klaus Hemmerle. The performance lasts 80 minutes and is part of the series «Der fliegende Teppich - Acht literarisch-musikalische Insel-Reisen».
