ICH ERWARTE DIE ANKUNFT DES TEUFELS

A solo show from Schauspielhaus Zürich, staged at the Pfauen, with Lorena Handschin as Mary MacLane. Marie Rosa Tietjen assembled the stage version from texts by Mary MacLane and directs the production, while Ann Cotten, Mirko Bonné and Ulrike Draesner rendered them from the English. It follows the nineteen-year-old writer, whose diary-like self-portrait ranges from art, literature and midnight snacks to the beauty of nature, and who lets the devil appear as a possibility while longing for an intellectual counterpart, fame and love in the barrenness of Montana.
