Erlebnisvortrag: Indigo Fermentation und Färben
Mühlerama, Riesbach
CHF 35.00 inkl. Imbiss
About
An experience talk followed by dyeing at the Museum Mühlerama shows how fermentation works not only with foods but also in the production of indigo, the deep blue known from blue jeans, for example. Anne-Marie Scheidegger, founder of the micro-industrial textile dyeing business Botanitex in Winterthur, offers insight into the making of indigo and dyeing with it, one of humanity's oldest pigments. Every participant pulls a small piece of fabric out of the indigo vat and takes it home blue as a keepsake. A small snack is served before the talk.
