A concert at the Aktionshalle of Rote Fabrik brings the queen of Afro-Pop to the stage with a support act. Fatoumata Diawara, who grew up between Ivory Coast and Mali and lives between Bamako and Europe, blends traditional sounds of the Mandé culture with Afrobeat, blues, folk, jazz and pop. She is on tour again with her new fourth album «MASSA», which deals with motherhood, faith, memory and resilience; her album «Fenfo – Something to Say» was nominated for a Grammy. The Swiss-South African-Zimbabwean duo Siselabonga opens with their Afro Soul Tronic sound of Afro-diasporic soul, raw percussion and electronic mysticism.
