About
A guided tour of the Zentralbibliothek Zürich, which for over 100 years has been the cantonal, city and university library of Zurich. The tour covers the library's history and different parts of the building: since the old building from 1917 is currently closed for renovation, the walk focuses on the Predigerchor from the 14th century, with its music reading room and historic staircase, and the extension from the 1990s with its large reading room, Turicensia Lounge and underground book stacks. Participation is free, and registration is required.
