HackBrett, OrgelPfeife, AlpHorn: a folk oratorio.
About
"HackBrett, OrgelPfeife, AlpHorn" is a folk oratorio that weaves the narrative elements of the classical oratorio together with yodeling, hammered dulcimer, alphorn, Büchel and choral singing. It arises from the meeting of the historic Tonhalle organ, now housed in the Neumünster church, and the original sounds of Swiss folk music. Under the direction of Grégoire May, it tells the Grimm tale "Die drei Sprachen" about a young man from Valais who returns from his travels with nothing but the languages of the animals. The choral foundation is formed by the Sängerbund Wetzikon and the Jodlerklub Bergbrünneli Küsnacht, with Nicolas Senn on hammered dulcimer and Yannick Wey on alphorn and Büchel.
