Maria - Was die Bibel über sie nicht erzählt. Mit der Musik Stabat Mater von Giovanni Pergolesi

A theatre evening about Mary, the mother of Jesus, who after her son's death on the cross wants nothing to do with his holiness and tells her own very personal view of the Passion. The source text is by Irish author Colm Tóibín, the concept and direction are by Jochen Strauch, and Mona Petri performs as Mary. Pergolesi's 'Stabat Mater' stands opposite the female perspective, under the musical direction of Peter Solomon with singers and the Galatea Quartet. The performance lasts 70 minutes.
