About
ILLUMINARIUM transforms the courtyard of the Zurich State Museum into a winter festival of lights with immersive light shows, a fondue chalet, food stands and DJs. Behind the festival is the artist collective PROJEKTIL (We Are Projektil AG), which created three light shows of about 25 minutes each: two Yuki shows for young and old and a digital art show based on works by Paul Klee. The shows turn the courtyard's facades into a screen, combining light, music and playful knowledge, for example about the biodiversity of the rainforests. The festival area is free to enter; tickets are only required for the light shows.
