Keïta, Brönnimann, Niggli: jazz meets West African vibes.

A concert at the neighbourhood venue Wartsaal Wipkingen. The internationally composed trio ᴋᴇïᴛᴀ– ʙʀöɴɴɪᴍᴀɴɴ – ɴɪɢɢʟɪ plays its own form of contemporary jazz mixed with energetic, current world music. Aly Keïta from Côte d’Ivoire is one of the great virtuosos of the balafon and won the 2024 Deutscher Jazzpreis; Jan Galega Brönnimann and Lucas Niggli were both born in Cameroon and shaped by West African culture. Their “Brotherhood of Vibes and Grooves” carries the audience on an adventurous ride from the deepest thicket to the wide open skies of Africa and back to Europe.
