Layāli and Amanés: from Arab-Andalusian song to Rebetiko.

«Layāli und Amanés – Reise in den Maqam, Echos des Mittelmeers» is a concert exploring the deep musical connections between Arab-Andalusian traditions and Greek Rebetiko. Behind the project are two ensembles: Ensemble Andalusí del Mediterráneo from Granada and Aman Rebetiko from Kavala. Their collaboration creates a musical dialogue in which centuries-old melodies, modal structures and improvisations cross borders and express timeless Mediterranean themes such as love, exile and longing. The concert thus becomes a living bridge between cultures and eras, reviving the shared musical soul of the Mediterranean through emotion, heritage and art.
