Silvia Süess and Uschi Waser read from and discuss the book, which uses Uschi Waser's life story to show how cruelly and systematically the Pro Juventute foundation acted against families with its „Kinder der Landstrasse“ operation. Between 1926 and 1973 more than 600 Yenish children were torn from their families; Uschi Waser was taken from her Yenish mother as a small child and grew up in countless homes, where she experienced violence and humiliation. The book also tells of a woman who fights tirelessly for rehabilitation and justice.
