Let's Doc! HIRSCHFELD - UNBEKANNTER BEKANNTER

A film screening followed by a discussion with the director. The documentary portrays Kurt Hirschfeld, the German-Jewish director and dramaturg who, as a Jewish communist, fled the Nazis and shaped the Zurich Schauspielhaus, making it a center of anti-fascist resistance. While authors like Bertolt Brecht, Max Frisch and Friedrich Dürrenmatt built its fame, the architect of these successes fell into oblivion. The film tells the story of this resistant figure of the theater.
