About
"MAGIC KINGDOM" is a theatre premiere at Schauspielhaus Zürich, staged at Schiffbau Box. It comes from the Spanish theatre collective Mudanzas López, led by directors and playwrights Álvaro Nogales and Adrián Perea, and was commissioned for Schauspielhaus Zürich. It tells of Helga, a young dramaturg who supports a Spanish collective researching a new production about conspiracy theories and finds her own worldview shaken by that work. The piece is a clever, humorous exploration of the fascination and dangerous pull of conspiracy narratives, asking whether we can still tell truth from lies.
