An open dress rehearsal in which the New Composers Ensemble plays music by Jihye Lee. Lee is a Korean-born, Brooklyn-based composer, arranger and bandleader and a winner of the German Jazz Prize; beforehand she coaches the ensemble in an intensive rehearsal phase. The JazzPop programme of the ZHdK opens the rehearsal in the club to anyone interested. Her music combines big-band jazz with traditional Korean folk rhythms and a personal, honest way of storytelling.
