SIMELIBERG is a music theatre piece for choir, five performers and accordion. Joachim Aeschlimann performs on stage with acting and singing. The folk song play centres on the mythical Simeliberg, a mountain that hides a treasure in a tale by the Brothers Grimm and appears as an enigmatic presence in the legendary Guggisberg song. Its common thread is the story of Vreneli, entangled in an unhappy love with Hans Joggeli.
