Suminagashi & Fukurotoji: marbling and bookbinding.

A workshop on the Japanese marbling technique Suminagashi and the art of bookbinding. Led by Lilla Wicki (Monochrome Studio) and Piera Wolf (W—E studio), participants create individual, random patterns with ink, brushes and traditional Japanese tools. Afterwards, a journal is bound together in the Japanese four-hole binding, in which folded sheets are sewn with decorative stitches along the open edge. The meeting point is the Remise, Atelier.
