A Yiddische Neshume: klezmer that laughs and weeps.
About
A klezmer concert in which Jewish music laughs and weeps – a journey through Jewish music literature, full of longing for home, memories of an earlier life, hopes for a golden future, sorrow, confidence, laughter and tears. On stage are Alexandra Julius Frölich (vocals) and the Jewish musicians Ilja Bondar (violin) and Sascha Gutman (piano and vocals). Eva Maria Kölling guides through the concert with texts by Stefanie Zweig and Michael Degen. Listen closely – the klezmorim leave out no human feeling.
