A moderated memorial concert by the Taffanel-Bläserquintett Berlin marking the November pogroms. It traces the lives and fates of Jewish composers who had to leave Germany during Nazi terror and tried to build on their successes abroad, above all in the USA. The programme features works by Alexander von Zemlinsky, Arnold Schönberg, Hanns Eisler, Ursula Mamlok and Kurt Weill. Performing are Bettina Wickihalder (flute), Nicola Heinze (oboe), Matthias Badczong (clarinet), Hansjörg Seiler (horn) and Jochen Schneider (bassoon).
