About

A concert at the Pierre Boulez Saal with klezmer clarinettist David Krakauer and composer and pianist Kathleen Tagg. With their interdisciplinary project Breath & Hammer, the two created one of the most spectacular productions in the venue's history. On the occasion of the West-Eastern Divan Festival, they perform together with distinguished fellow musicians and students from the Fundación Barenboim-Said in Seville. The programme is based on their work The Keepers of the Flame and brings together klezmer, Arabic and Imazighen songs, traditional American music and new compositions – music of many origins that shows what connects us as human beings.
