About

An architectural tour of the Museum Island, Berlin's UNESCO World Heritage site, including an interior visit of the Neues Museum. It is led by Berlin-based architects. Using historical photographs and plans, it covers the history, structural development and cultural-historical significance of the buildings of the Staatliche Museen. Highlights include the James-Simon-Galerie, inaugurated in 2019, and the award-winning Neues Museum, a restoration project based on the concept of 'complementary restoration'.
