This public tour for adults explores the Berlin Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1999 that is marking its bicentenary in 2026. It is run by the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, and the 120-minute walk looks at the ensemble's architecture and history, from its 19th- and 19th/20th-century museum buildings to the James-Simon-Galerie of 2019, with highlights in the Altes Museum and the Neues Museum. Participants meet at the information desk on Level 1 of the James-Simon-Galerie. Booking is required and places are limited.
