About
The film portraits Basel architect Barbara Buser, who saves buildings from demolition and rebuilds them with reused materials. It follows her path from working in Sudan and Tanzania, via becoming the first female ferry operator on the Rhine, to founding baubüro insitu with Eric Honegger. Projects such as the Gundeldinger Feld and the K118 building in Winterthur are at its centre, along with her principles of circular economy and "Caring Economy". A winner of awards including the Prix Meret Oppenheim, she is seen as a role model for a more sustainable, fairer world.
