About
„Romeo & Juliet“ is a Shakespeare solo comedy in which Bernd Lafrenz performs the entire famous love story on stage alone, switching between characters within seconds. The multi-award-winning stage performer retells the story as one of his freely comic, affectionately parodic Shakespeare adaptations. The tale is framed by Balthasar, a bicycle courier and descendant of Romeo's servant, whose family since 1423 has carried the legacy of spreading the lovers' story – until Shakespeare's work suddenly comes magically to life.
