Bridge Markland - Krug in the box
Showfenster Theater
About
„Krug in the box“ is a solo theatre performance retelling Heinrich von Kleist's „Der zerbrochne Krug“ as a pop-music courtroom show. The performer Bridge Markland, a master of transformation, plays several characters in rapid succession using hand-operated and free-standing puppets. The court case centres on a broken jug, behind which lies the harassment of a young woman by an influential man. Original texts, narrated by various actors, are paired with fitting pop songs from the last 80 years.
