“Büro der öffentlichen Sache” is a public series of discussions. People from fields such as politics, art, business, media, church, sport or the military are invited to discuss a topic with one or two people of their choosing on which they explicitly hold differing views. Facing growing social and political polarisation, it asks which cultural and institutional conditions a democratic society needs so that publicness, judgement and democratic dispute can endure. On 4 November, Gregor Gysi discusses, among others, with Anh-Linh Ngo and Manos Tsangaris.
