About
The »JazzNights Special« is a jazz concert at Heimathafen Neukölln featuring the Jamie Baum Quartet and the Anke Helfrich Trio, supported by the Judith Owen Septett. The multi-award-winning American flutist Jamie Baum and the German pianist Anke Helfrich, one of the leading figures of German jazz, lead outstandingly staffed ensembles. On different musical paths, the two bands explore the question »What Times Are These« and end the evening together with »We’ll Rise«. Beyond their instruments, both bandleaders also stand as strong female voices in a still male-dominated music world.
