About
A concert evening with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra in the Großer Saal of the Philharmonie Berlin, part of the first West-Eastern Divan Festival. Daniel Barenboim conducts the orchestra, and pianist Lang Lang, who has been connected to the ensemble for many years, performs Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1. The program also features Wagner's lyrical Siegfried Idyll and Schumann's cheerful “Rhenish Symphony”. It is the festival's second appearance by Barenboim and the orchestra in the Philharmonie Berlin.
