About
In the Pierre Boulez Saal, the West-Eastern Divan Ensemble performs chamber music by Mendelssohn, Prokofiev, Ligeti and Widmann. To mark the 20th anniversary of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, its concertmaster Michael Barenboim founded the ensemble in 2019. Since then it has toured Europe as well as North and South America and has been heard several times in the Pierre Boulez Saal. The musicians present works of the 19th to 21st century in varying line-ups from duo to octet.
