Daniel Chodowiecki: a curators' guided tour.

A curators' guided tour through the cabinet exhibition “Daniel Chodowiecki 1726–1801. Berliner Bilder der Aufklärung” at the Gemäldegalerie. On the occasion of Daniel Nikolaus Chodowiecki's 300th birthday, the Kupferstichkabinett, the Gemäldegalerie and the Akademie der Künste, Berlin are dedicating an exhibition to the famous Berlin Enlightenment artist. At its centre is the draughtsman, etcher and painter's main work titled “Der Abschied des Jean Calas von seiner Familie” (1766–68), for which all three museums have gathered works. The curators lead a conversation-based tour through the exhibition and introduce Chodowiecki's versatile oeuvre.
