About
„Den Himmel tragen“ is a storytelling theatre piece subtitled „Die Geschichte eines Steins“ (The Story of a Stone). It tells how a piece of rock was hewn from a mountain near Berlin and lives on in the stone figures in and around the Humboldt Forum, from the ancient hero Hercules to the Roman god Jupiter. The two storytellers Nicola Knappe and Maria Carmela Marinelli weave the figures' story together with mythological tales from antiquity into a humorous, imaginative work performed in Italian and German. The piece lasts 30 minutes and is suitable for ages 4 to 99+.
